Privacy Policy

E-Sama is developed by Samandari. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the app.

Data Collection

E-Sama stores the following data locally on your device. We do not have access by default. Data stays on your device unless you export, back up, or use optional Premium AI features.

Sales, purchases, inventory, and stock records
Client and supplier information
Expenses, debts, and profit reports
Rental and restaurant data (when those modes are enabled)
Multi-store settings and app preferences
Notification and printer settings

If you enable cloud backup, selected data may be transmitted to your Google Drive (explicit consent).

Data Storage

All your data is stored locally on your device in an encrypted database. We do not operate servers that store your business data. Cloud backup uses HTTPS to your personal Google Drive. E-Sama does not access your Drive outside the app backup folder.

Data Usage

Your data is used exclusively to run the app: POS, inventory, clients, reports, reminders, and backups. Processing is on-device. Cloud backup is only for restore on a new device. Optional Premium AI sends a short message description to Creative Muse for trilingual text generation — not your sales or client records. We do not sell or share your data for advertising.

Third-Party Services

Google Drive API — optional cloud backup (explicit consent)
Google Sign-In — authentication for cloud backup
Creative Muse AI API — optional Premium message generation (short description only)

No other third parties for analytics, advertising, or profiling.

No Tracking or Ads

We do not use analytics or tracking tools. The app does not display advertisements.

Optional AI Features

Premium plans may include optional AI features that require internet. When used, a short message description you enter is sent to the Creative Muse backend to generate French, English, and Swahili notification text. Your sales, inventory, and client records are not sent. Data is not stored or used for training by the provider.

Backup & Restore

Local backups are saved as files you control. You choose where they are stored and shared.

Cloud Backup

If you enable cloud backup, your selected data is stored on your personal Google Drive account. E-Sama does not have access to your Google Drive — data transfer uses Google's secure OAuth2 authentication. You can delete your cloud data at any time.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data remains on your device while you use the app. You can delete data from Settings. Uninstalling permanently deletes local data. Cloud backup stays on Google Drive until you delete it. You can revoke Google access anytime from your Google Account permissions.

Device Identification

We collect your device ID solely for license verification. This ID is not linked to personal information.

Remote Configuration

We use remote configuration to manage app updates, communicate important messages, and enforce license compliance.

Storage Access

E-Sama requests storage access to export and import backups to a location you choose. No files outside the app backup folder are accessed or modified.

Bluetooth Printing

If you connect a Bluetooth thermal printer, the app uses Bluetooth only to communicate with your printer. No data is sent to external servers through this connection.

Biometric Authentication

Fingerprint or face unlock is processed entirely by your device hardware. E-Sama never accesses or stores biometric data.

Data Security

Your data is encrypted on your device. Cloud backups use HTTPS to Google Drive.

Children's Privacy

E-Sama is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted with an updated effective date.
